The word Republic is a reference to the great Greek philosopher Plato’s famous book The Republic. The ideas of Justice, Virtue and Happiness are extensively discussed in The Republic. This has inspired the theme of the Film Festival. NFR encourages passionate filmmakers to come up with their interpretations of Justice, Virtue and Happiness through creative storytelling to bring about positive changes in society.
