Acclaimed Chinese Producer Xu Jianshang Joins as NFR Jury Member

The NFR Kochi International Film Festival is honoured to announce that esteemed producer Xu Jianshang from China has joined the festival as a jury member of the NFR Global Academy Awards.

Xu Jianshang is a graduate of the Beijing Film Academy. She gained international recognition for her work on films such as Ma.Ama and Rapture. Her latest film, Rapture, was supported by prestigious art funds, including the Hubert Bals Fund and Visions Sud Est. The film premiered at the Locarno International Film Festival 2023 and was showcased at numerous other global festivals.

Xu Jianshang brings extensive experience in international co-productions and a unique global perspective to the festival jury. Her involvement underscores the festival’s dedication to recognising excellence in filmmaking across the world.

The NFR Global Academy Awards, a key component of the NFR Kochi International Film Festival, honours the best in short films, documentaries, and animation films worldwide. There are significant cash prizes, certificates, and the prestigious golden trophy, with a total prize pool of ₹8,00,000. The extended last date of submission is August 31.
