Acclaimed Filmmaker Dominic Sangma Joins as NFR Jury Member

The NFR Kochi International Film Festival proudly announces that acclaimed filmmaker Dominic Sangma has joined the festival as a jury member of the NFR Global Academy Awards.

Dominic Sangma, who hails from Meghalaya, is a graduate of the Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute. He is known for his films, such as Ma.Ama and Rapture. His latest film, Rapture, received support from international art funds such as the Hubert Bals Fund, Visions Sud Est and the Doha Film Institute. The film had its world premiere at the Locarno International Film Festival 2023 and was later screened at a multitude of international film festivals.

Dominic Sangma brings a breadth of experience and a profound understanding of storytelling. His addition to the festival jury reflects the festival’s commitment to recognising outstanding achievements in global cinema.

The NFR Global Academy Awards, a key component of the NFR Kochi International Film Festival, honours the best in short films, documentaries, and animation films worldwide. There are significant cash prizes, certificates, and the prestigious golden trophy, with a total prize pool of ₹8,00,000. The extended last date of submission is August 31.
