Jeo Baby Joins as a Jury Member of the NFR Global Academy Awards

The NFR Kochi International Film Festival is thrilled to announce that the Kerala State Award winning film director Jeo Baby has joined the festival as a jury member of the NFR Global Academy Awards.

Jeo Baby is known for his films such as Kaathal – The Core, The Great Indian Kitchen and Kunju Daivam. His work focuses on pressing social issues and cultural traditions. The Great Indian Kitchen, in particular, has received widespread acclaim for its poignant portrayal of the everyday struggles of women in Indian households.

Jeo Baby brings a wealth of experience and a deep understanding of storytelling to the jury panel. His participation underscores the festival’s dedication to recognising and promoting diverse voices in global cinema.

The NFR Global Academy Awards, one of the seven streams of the ongoing NFR Kochi International Film Festival, celebrate outstanding achievements in short films, documentaries, and animation films worldwide. The awards feature significant cash prizes, certificates, and the prestigious golden trophy, with a total prize pool of ₹8,00,000. The extended last date for submission is August 31.
