Mahesh Narayanan Inaugurates NFR Script Pitching Festival

Acclaimed film director and editor Mahesh Narayanan inaugurated the NFR Script Pitching Festival at Shenoys Theatre. The NFR Script Pitching Festival is a series of events designed to turn short stories, documentaries, or animation scripts into reality. These scripts will be reviewed and sent to investors within the NFR Industry Investors Incubator – InCube platform.

Selected participants will receive guidance and feedback on their projects from experienced industry professionals to help enhance their pitching skills. They will gain exclusive access to the Pitch Room, an opportunity to pitch their scripts to investors, who will then decide on producing the films based on these pitches. It is a rare opportunity to connect with potential investors, producers, and other key stakeholders in the film industry.

The Pitch Room will be held from October 4 to 6. Entries for the NFR Script Pitching Festival will be accepted from July 24 to August 30 through the festival website.

NFR Script Pitching Festival is one of the seven streams of the ongoing Neo Film Republic (NFR) Kochi International Film Festival. Organised by NEO Film School, it is a three-month-long event culminating in a three-day grand summit in October at Taj Vivanta, Kochi, filled with art, culture, and cinematic excellence. Prithviraj Sukumaran had recently launched the festival’s website.

During the event at Shenoys Theatre, Shri Sibi Malayil handed over a cash award of ₹10,000 to the monthly winner of the ongoing NFR Global Academy Awards. Submissions for this competition in completed short films, documentaries, and animation films are open until August 15. Film director Arun Bose oversees both the NFR Global Academy Awards and the NFR Script Pitching Festival.
