The NFR Global Film Pitch Festival is where abstract ideas start their journey to become concrete productions. It grooms ideas into presentable scripts and presents them to potential collaborators for production. It is an opportunity to pitch your film professionally.
By submitting your short film, documentary and animations scripts to the NFR Global Film Pitch Festival, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed on the following terms and conditions:
Eligibility and Originality
- Participants must be above the age of 18.
- All submitted projects must be original works of the participant. Plagiarism will result in disqualification.
- Participants must have all necessary rights and permissions for any third-party content in their submissions.
- Only submissions with completed forms containing the following mandatory details will be considered for the NFR Script Pitching Festival:
- Logline
- Synopsis
- Treatment
- At least two scenes of the script/screenplay
Submission and Selection
- By submitting your project, you grant the NFR Kochi International Film Festival the right to use the material for promotional purposes.
- You confirm that your project does not have conflicting commitments with other producers, production houses, directors, or similar entities.
- The decision of the judges is final and binding. No correspondence will be entered into regarding the selection process or outcomes.
- The festival organisers are not liable for any loss or damage to the submitted materials.
Participation and Conduct
- Participants agree to comply with all festival rules and guidelines.
- Any entry fees paid are non-refundable, regardless of whether the project is selected for the festival.
- Projects must not contain explicit sexual content, graphic violence, or hate speech. The festival aims to maintain a respectful and inclusive environment.
- Once submitted, the information on the application form cannot be edited.
- Facilities provided by the festival are extended only to the participants. Companions are not allowed to attend sessions or use the facilities provided by the festival.
- Participants agree to credit the NFR Global Film Pitch Festival in their project’s credits.
- Participants must be available to attend all scheduled sessions and activities as required by the festival.
Legal and Ethical Commitments
- Participants shall not sell, assign, transfer, or create any lien or encumbrance on their project without prior written consent from the festival organisers.
- The project must be original and not infringe on any third-party rights, including copyrights and rights of privacy.
- Participants warrant they have the authority to submit the project and comply with all the terms and conditions.
- Participants agree to participate in the festival’s publicity and promotional activities as required.
- Participants agree to keep confidential all project-related information of fellow participants and shall not disclose it without prior written consent.
- Participants agree to indemnify the festival against any claims arising from inaccuracies in representations or breach of obligations.
