Welcome to the NFR Extempore Film Making Contest – NEO48 (“Contest”). The Contest is organised by NFR Kochi International Film Festival (“Organiser”). By participating in the Contest, participants agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions.
Eligibility
Participants must be at least 18 years old as of the Contest start date.
Each team can consist of up to 10 members, including the director, crew, and cast.
Participants must complete the registration process through the official NFR Kochi Festival website. A registration fee may be required, as specified on the registration page.
By registering, participants acknowledge that they have read and accepted these Terms and Conditions.
Contest Overview
The Contest is a 48-hour filmmaking competition, starting at [Start Date and Time] and ending at [End Date and Time].
Participants will receive a theme, a prop, and a line of dialogue at the start of the Contest, which must be incorporated into their film.
Films must be between 4 and 7 minutes in length, including credits.
Submission Requirements
Films must be submitted by [Submission Deadline], through the official submission portal on the NFR Kochi Festival website.
Films must be submitted in [required format, e.g., MP4, MOV] with a resolution of at least [required resolution, e.g., 1080p].
Films must not contain any obscene, defamatory, or offensive content. The Organiser reserves the right to disqualify films that violate these guidelines.
All films must be original works created specifically for the Contest. Use of copyrighted material, including music, without permission, is prohibited.
Judging Criteria
Films will be evaluated by a panel of judges selected by the Organiser

Films will be judged based on creativity, storytelling, technical quality, incorporation of required elements, and overall impact.
The judges’ decisions are final and binding.
Prizes
Prizes will be awarded for Best Film, Best Director, Best Cinematography, Best Editing, and other categories as announced.
Winners will be announced on [Announcement Date] and will be notified via email.
Prizes will be distributed as specified on the NFR Kochi Festival website. The Organiser reserves the right to substitute prizes with alternatives of equal or greater value.
Intellectual Property Rights
Participants retain ownership of their films. However, by entering the Contest, participants grant the Organiser a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and promote the films in connection with the Contest and related promotional activities.
Participants must ensure that all necessary permissions and rights have been obtained for any third-party content used in their films.
Liability and Indemnification
The Organiser is not responsible for any loss, damage, or injury arising from participation in the Contest or the use of any prize.
Participants agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Organiser from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from their participation in the Contest or use of their films by the Organiser
Privacy and Data Collection
The Organiser may collect personal information during the registration and submission process. This information will be used in accordance with the Organiser’s privacy policy.
By participating in the Contest, participants consent to the collection and use of their personal information as described in the privacy policy.
General Terms
The Organiser reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be communicated to participants via email or the NFR Kochi Festival website.
The Organiser reserves the right to disqualify any participant or team that violates these Terms and Conditions or engages in any conduct detrimental to the Contest.
The Organiser is not responsible for any delays or disruptions to the Contest due to circumstances beyond its control.
